And the pumpkin roll wins!!!


Thank you everyone for the feedback! Looks like the pumpkin roll has won this competition. I guess with Thanksgiving and it being fall time people love the pumpkin recipes! Xander made a good point that “apple feels acceptable all the time so pumpkin roll wins for the season”. I will have to do some more research Nikki, but I do think that it is a Pennsylvania/Lancaster county food. Also Nikki I do have to agree with you that it does stink for people not from this area! Once again thanks again for the feedback and tune in next week for some new recipes! Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Favorite dessert recipe!

Hey guys! So as everyone knows the internet is filled with endless amount of dessert recipes! I wanted to know from the 2 previous desserts that I posted which one is your favorite! I am going to repost the recipes here and how to make them incase you would like to make it again before you pick your favorite!

1. Pumpkin Roll
Ingredients:
- 3 beaten eggs
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 a teaspoon ground cinnamon 
- 2/3 cup pumpkin pure
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 8 ounces of cream cheese
- 1 cup of confectioners sugar 
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract


Directions: 
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). 
Butter or grease one 10x15 inch jelly roll pan. 

2. In a mixing bowl, blend together the eggs, sugar, 
cinnamon, and pumpkin. In a separate bowl, mix 
together flour and baking soda. Add to pumpkin 
mixture and blend until smooth. Evenly spread the 
mixture over the prepared jelly roll pan. 

3. Bake 15 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven. 
Remove from oven and allow to cool enough to handle.

4. Remove cake from pan and place on tea towel 
(cotton, not terry cloth). Roll up the cake by rolling a 
towel inside cake and place seam side down to cool.

5. Prepare the frosting by blending 
together the butter, cream cheese,
 confectioners sugar, and vanilla.

6. When cake is completely cooled, unroll and spread 
with cream cheese filling. Roll up again without towel. 
Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve. 
Sprinkle top with confectioners sugar and slice into 8-10 servings.

2. Country Apple Dumplings

With Thanksgiving just around the corner this is the perfect recipe!! This dessert is absolutely delicious! This is a sweet treat that will drive your taste buds crazy!! You have to trust me this dessert is so yummy! Go ahead and try it! Share it with your friends and family! They will be so impressed with this dessert and will be asking you for the secret recipe by the end of the night!!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (List blog)

Its about that time again! Pumpkin coffee, pumpkin muffins, why not some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies! This is the perfect dessert for all of the pumpkin lovers around fall time. Pumpkin chocolate chip cookies is also a great dessert with Halloween just around the corner. Everyone will love these cookies! Follow these directions step by step and you will thank me later! 

What will you need...
  • 1 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts(optional)
Instructions...
  • Take a bowl and mix 
    • sugar
    • pumpkin
    • vegetable oil
    • and a egg
  • In another bowl mix together
    • 1 cup of flour
    • baking powder
    • ground cinnamon
    • salt
    • dissolve the baking powder by adding milk
  • Add 1 cup of flour to the pumpkin mixture and stir well
  • Mix both bowls together and add
    • vanilla
    • chocolate chips
    • walnuts(optional)
  • Drop each spoonful of mix on a greased up cookie sheet
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or when the cookies start to brown

Chunky Cheesecake Brownies

Are you ready for a dessert that will blow your mind! These chunky cheesecake brownies will melt in your mouth and make you want more! This dessert is perfect to be served at any family function or even just after diner!

 















1. Preheat oven ot 350 degres and then grease a 9 inch baking pan. After that add cream cheese with 1/4 of sugar an 1 egg into a bowl. After that mix all together in a bowl and stir a cup of chocolate chips.

2. Fill a pot with water so that it can boil. In the mixing bowl add butter, with the rest of chocolate chips and stir until it is all melted and blended together. Add in the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar and the 2 eggs. Then add in flour, baking powder, salt, and stir some chocolate in as well. 

3. Pour half of the batter into a baking pan. Make sure to spread out the cream cheese over the chocolate layer. Add with remaining chocolate mixture. Using a knife add the top chocolate layer into the cream cheese.

4. Bake in oven for 350 degrees for 25 minutes and or until top appears to be crinkly. Let it cool and slice into 12-16 squares.
